Android/iOS App Shortcut to Quick Add Notes

[Request]

• The ability to add notes quickly and easily from the home screen with a dedicated shortcut (see example from Ticktick)

• The shortcut should open up a pop-up editor that allows text input and selection of destination (e.g. "Today’s Note”)

• [Nice to Have] Enable option to append “HH:MM” at the start of newly created rems from this feature.

[Reasons and Use Cases]

• Reduce friction between having a thought and writing it down in RemNote.

  • (a) It takes approx. 2-3 seconds to load RemNote from a cold start (on a Samsung S22 at least)

  • (b) it usually loads the last page you were on (this is great, but this means that we need at least 2x user input to navigate to Today’s Note)

  • (a) + (b) can add up to approx. 15 seconds and is the reason I am using Ticktick to jot down quick notes.

Ticktick has a native “Add Task” shortcut that allows Android users to quickly add new tasks from the homescreen. (See screenshots)
