Clean Footnotes in RemNote to enhance RemNote as a knowledge base

Value:

RemNote is academic driven and it understands itself as knowledgebase. Being able to reference (offline and online) knowledge in a pleaseable manner to find the source fast (and furious😄) is crucial for an academic driven application.
The following proposition allows a clean view of the study-relevant material, while transforming the remnote knowledege base to 2.0 as sources/footnotes are easy to track.

Example:

I would love to set footnotes like in this example (footnote 8)

If you don’t go over it with the cursor it does not show

Aim:

1. Being able to add a footnote, where I can just go over it with the mouse cursor and it shows the content of it. If I don’t touch the footnote, it doesn’t show it’s content, only the number. (like in screenshot)

2. If one clicks on the footnote a field opens (like in the screenshot) allowing for the following

a. Inserting a new source in plane text, by choice: with a hyperlink, with a inlinelink to another Rem or to a PDF-Highlight

b. Copy pasting a source-text (Author, Bookname, Publish date, page, etc.)

c. Clicking on hyperlinks to external websites or on inlinelinks to a rem or a PDF-Highlight

3. It should be possible to merge existing Pins (to PDF Highlights, other Rems, etc.), inline-links / reference / what ever to one footnote.

4. The footnotes should be automated within a document: If I add another footnote it will update its number to the preexisting footnotes.
a. If I add one prior to my footnotes, all subsequent footnotes will add +1
b. If I add one subsequent to my footnotes, it will acknowledge the last number and continue the list (last footnote has the number 7, so the new footnote is 8)

→ Alternative: Instead updating numbers, it could also be a choice to have no numbers at all and use pins as footnotes. Then simply understand this FR as updating / improving Pins with the prior proposed functions.
