Feature Request: AI-Suggested Image Occlusion Based on OCR and Study Guide
Absolutely. Here's a clean, copy-paste-friendly version — no extra lead-in:
Hi RemNote Team,
I’m a heavy user of the Reader + image occlusion features, and I really appreciate how much easier RemNote makes flashcard creation compared to tools like Anki.
I’d like to suggest a feature to streamline this workflow further:
👉 AI-powered image occlusion suggestions
Here’s what I envision:
-
While using the Reader and OCR, RemNote could suggest which terms or labels to occlude based on:
Red or blue text (typically emphasized in slides)
Study guide content (user-supplied or pinned)
Frequently occurring or bolded terms
This would remove the need to manually drag boxes over obvious terms, speed up card creation, and make RemNote even more powerful — especially for students in content-heavy subjects like biology or medicine.
Implementation Notes:
OCR is already integrated — the plugin or feature could extract recognized terms with bounding boxes.
Optionally, RemNote could allow a user to upload or link a “study guide” document or list of learning objectives.
GPT-style models (via API) could rank which terms are most testable based on those objectives.
Final step: suggested terms could be visually highlighted in the slide, and the user can approve occlusion with one click.
Thanks again for all your work. RemNote has already saved me tons of time.
Would love to know if this is something you’re exploring.
Best,
George
