Feature Request: Option to Hide Folders from the Flashcard Queue

One feature I would like to see implemented in RemNote is the ability to hide specific folders from the due flashcard queue. This could take the form of a toggle option—such as “Hide from Queue”—that users can enable for selected folders. The purpose of this feature would be to give users greater flexibility and control over which content appears during their review sessions.

This feature would solve a practical issue faced by many users who utilize RemNote not only for active recall but also as a long-term knowledge management tool. In my own workflow, I frequently create folders intended for future reference, archival, or deferred study. Currently, the flashcards contained in these materials are automatically included in the review queue, even if they are not relevant to my present focus. This creates unnecessary clutter, disrupts my study flow, and reduces the efficiency of spaced repetition. By allowing users to exclude certain folders from the active queue, RemNote can help streamline the review experience and support better prioritization of learning materials.

Similar features have been successfully implemented in other platforms. For example, Anki includes a “suspend” option, which prevents selected cards or decks from appearing in review without deleting them. Knowledge management applications such as Notion and Obsidian also provide options to organize content in a way that separates active from archived material. Incorporating a comparable feature in RemNote would align it more closely with these tools and greatly benefit users managing large and evolving sets of notes.
