Index/ Table of content sidebar

I would like to have a quick & automatic table of content like in Notion or MS Word. This would be quiet useful and since I did not really found an answer online I guess there isn’t really one.

The problem with creating headings and linking them via references to the topics (like in an index) is, that you can only jump to the topic but when you desire to go to another top you first have to go back all the way to the table of content (especially if its a large document this is very annoying) and then you can click on the header to get to the new topic. This takes so long that it’s often faster to just scroll to the desired location.

I would love to have an additional sidebar besides the toggle-sidebar to just navigate quick back an forth through a document and not just forth as it is possible as right now.

Could be convenient for a lot of users :)
