Lock Tab and Remember Last Tab State

For someone who transitions among multiple tabbed workspaces to work on several documents and notes during a single work session (writing a dissertation):

1) It would be useful to be able to lock specific tab views —it is too easy to inadvertently change a tab view and navigate elsewhere for a moment only to come back to it and find its original content is not there.

2) For Tab workspaces to remember the last state/position in a document I was at. To have to find one’s place in the document every time one returns to it is pretty counter-productive. (Usually I’m viewing 2-3 documents under a given tab, so I must find my place for all of them which makes it impossible to navigate back and forth among tabs quickly.
