Pdf Highlights - Copy and Paste Multiple highlights

My note taking flow involves extensive copying and pasting (as references) of pdf highlights into a document. Presently I must do one at a time. This interrupts my reading + highlighting flow. If I do it after reading several pages, It becomes a tedious job to copy and paste each highlight into my notes. Hence it would be nice to be able to select and insert (as references) several highlights at once. (I tried to copy and paste several consecutive rems collected in the pdf right side pane, however these cannot be pasted as references and my pdf reference special formatting cannot be applied to them).
