Translate random words in a document to your desired language .

the change is not permanent so it’s just when you’re viewing /editing in your native language and not when reviewing flashcards. You can hover on the translated word that appears differently ( different color/ boxed … ) to see the original word.

I have seen this made by a chrome extension called “Toucan” but it would be very helpful as a way to learn a new language at the same time as you’re working/studying.

I’m particularily interested in this idea because I am currently studying medecine in French but I’m willing to work abroad probably in Germany initially. Re-learning medical terminology in addition to grammar in german would be very time consuming and would take me 2 years at least before I can start my career there. I’m sure this would help other people in similar situations. It would be amazing if I could choose 2 languages as It’s useful to know medical terms in english for research and Internationalization.

I looked around and found that you can get Translation API keys from google and specific API keys from field-specific institusions like the UMLS Metathesaurus.
