Remove pasting text onto a new line

For some reason (perhaps I am simply missing something) whenever I paste text, such as from an article I am reading, it pastes on to a new line in remnote and seems to create a bunch of blank space ‘letters’ that I have to delete to move it back to the line I wanted. For example, it looks something like:

• Something something something

• [where I intend to paste] [blank spaces]

• [where it actually pastes]

This is super annoying because it means whenever I paste a quote from an article into my notes, I have to delete all of the spaces in order to just get it back on the correct line. I am assuming this is a feature not a bug, so at the very least I’d like the option to turn it off and paste in the normal way. Thanks!
