Support for Audio Files Like YouTube Videos
✨ What new feature or change would you like to see added in RemNote?
I would love it if audio files could be supported with features similar to how RemNote handles YouTube videos. Specifically:
Automatic summarization of the audio
Flashcard generation from key points
Timestamps for each line or important section
And many more
🤔 What problem does it solve for you? How would it improve your workflow or experience with RemNote?
I’m only allowed to watch the recorded online lectures once, but I’d really like to revisit them—at least in audio format. To retain the content, I record the audio using my phone. However, to make use of RemNote’s YouTube processing features, I’ve been converting the audio into video format just to upload it to YouTube.
This process consumes a significant amount of my time and energy. It requires constant attention, editing skills, and considerable processing time for editing, exporting, and uploading. On average, it takes me around 2 to 3 hours per day just to make the audio compatible with RemNote’s existing YouTube features.
If RemNote could support audio files directly with features like summarization, flashcard generation and timestamps —just like it does for YouTube videos—it would save me a lot of time and drastically improve my study workflow.
🚀 Are there any examples of this suggestion implemented in other apps (if applicable)?
