Text-to-Speech PDF Reader

I recently started using Speechify which I find greatly improves my focus and therefore reading speed and comprehension as I always zone out and have to keep re-reading on my own, however, the program does not let you annotate in any way. I find I have to open a separate app to annotate on, which lacks the helpful highlighting feature as it reads and makes it difficult to pause etc. It would be great if there was a decent text-to-speech function, which can also read from scanned documents and images integrated into the PDF annotation tool and enables you to turn off things like reading citations, footnotes, and the book title at the top of each page.
